2.2.1. The institution assesses the learning levels of the students and organizes special Programs for advanced learners and slow learners. (500 words)

IGIPS assesses incoming learning levels using diagnostic tests, qualifying exam marks, and early internal evaluations. Based on this, faculty divide students into groups to provide targeted, specialized support that enhances academic performance and clinical skills. 

How Learning Levels are Assessed 

Diagnostic & Entry Tests: Baseline assessments identify language proficiencies, science backgrounds, and computer skills of the students. 

Continuous Evaluation: The institute's faculty evaluate the students based on internal sessional exams, viva-voce in practicals, and day-to-day classroom interactions.

Mentorship Programs: Dedicated faculty mentors track performance and regularly review student progress using one-on-one counseling.

Programs for Slow Learners 

Remedial & Bridge Classes: Extra coaching sessions are conducted to clarify foundational concepts in subjects like pharmaceutics, pharmacology, and physiology. 

Personalized Attention: Smaller batches allow teachers to focus on the students who need additional help passing university exams.

Simplified Assignments: Tailored, bite-sized tasks and additional language/communication support are provided to boost confidence.

Programs for Advanced Learners 

Competitive Exam Coaching: Special classes are organized for national-level entrance exams like GPAT and NIPER.

Research & Lab Exposure: Students are encouraged to participate in advanced research projects, hands-on training on sophisticated instruments (e.g., HPLC, Dissolution testers), and scientific paper presentations.

Industry Readiness: The students get opportunities to attend guest lectures by pharma experts, participate in seminars, and join career-oriented certification courses.

3.3.1. Description of the impact of extension activities in sensitising students to social issues and holistic development. (500 words)

Extension activities by IGIPS bridge classroom learning with real-world public health challenges. By organizing medical camps, blood drives, and rural awareness programs, the students of IGIPS encounter ground-level socio-economic realities. This practical exposure transforms them from textbook learners into empathetic, socially conscious healthcare professionals equipped for holistic community development.
