1. Contributing to national development 
Human resource development and capacity building of individuals to cater to the needs of the economy, society and the country as a whole, thereby, contributing to the development of the Nation. 

2. Fostering global competencies among students 
To be innovative, creative and entrepreneurial in their approach to develop in the students skilled human resources of a high caliber and prepare them to achieve core competencies to face the global challenges successfully. 

3. Inculcating a value system among students
To inculcate the appropriate values commensurate with social, cultural, economic and environmental realities at the local, national and universal levels, especially in a country like India which has large cultural pluralities and diversities. 

Essential and desirable values are truth, righteousness, mutual understanding, cooperation and other values emphasized in the various policy documents of the country. 

4. Promoting the use of technology 
(NAAC accreditation would look to how the HEIs have put in place their electronic data management systems and electronic resources and their access to internal and external stakeholders particularly the student community.)

To use technology as a learning resource. 
To adopt significant technological innovations.
To enrich the learning experiences of the students by providing them with state-of-the-art educational technologies. 
To keep pace with the developments in other spheres of human endeavor. 
To prepare the campus community adequately to make use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) optimally. 
To invest in hardware and to orient the faculty suitably. 

To manage the activities, such as documentation and data management, of the institution in a technology-enabled way to ensure effective institutional functioning. 
To move towards electronic data management and have institutional website to provide ready and relevant information to stakeholders. 
To be able to provide ICT literacy to the campus community. 
To use ICT for resource sharing and networking. 
To adopt ICT-enabled administrative processes.

5. Quest for excellence 
To demonstrate a drive to develop themselves into centres of excellence. 
To contribute to the overall development of the system of higher education of the country as a whole. 
To establish the Steering Committee for the preparation of the SSR of the institution. 
To identify the strengths and weaknesses in the teaching and learning processes as carried out by the institution.
