HUMAN RESOURCE & TEACHING-LEARNING PROCESS 


Parameter 5.1:
Teaching-Learning methods being employed by Sampled Faculties in their Theory classes

Key Terms:
-- Teaching pedagogy adopted by faculty/staff in their theory/practical classes 
-- Competence based Curriculum 
-- Mastery over pre-specified Course & program specific Competences or objectives
-- Student centered teaching methods
-- In sync with competences or Learning Outcomes or Learning Objectives 

5.1.1 -- Alignment of Theory sessions with framed Learning Objectives or Outcomes laid down by Regulator 
(Interaction with minimum 25% or 1 sampled Faculty from each applicable Department for B. Pharm)

Supporting Documents:
1. Recorded videos & documented evidences like Lesson Plans etc. by Pharmacy Faculty (for last 1 month)

5.1.2 -- Adopting Bloom's Taxonomy or any other Model for Systematic & progressive development of Thinking skills or competences in UG students 
(Interaction with minimum 25% or 1 sampled Faculty from each applicable Department)

Supporting Documents:
1. Recorded videos & documented evidences like Lesson Plans etc. by Pharmacy Faculty (for last 1 month)

5.1.3 -- Formative Assessment Methods (Formal & Informal methods)
(Interaction with minimum 25% or 1 sampled Faculty from each applicable Department)

1. Documented or electronic evidences for type of Formative assessment methods are being used by faculties 

5.1.4 -- Adopting advanced & innovative teaching-learning methods like Problem or Case Based Learning etc.
(Interaction with minimum 25% or 1 sampled Faculty from each applicable Department)

1. Documented or electronic evidences for type of innovative & advanced teaching-learning methods are being used by faculties 

5.1.5 -- Integration of Audio-visual Facilities or ICT Facilities in Teaching-Learning Process
(Interaction with minimum 25% or 1 sampled Faculty from each applicable Department)

5.1.6 -- Last 10-minute Interaction with students before completion of Theory Classes on the day of Assessment by Assessment Team Members

-- Provisions for Capturing Format (DCF) for Diploma, UG and PG programs 
-- Full-Time appointment of Teaching/Non-Teaching/Administrative positions 
-- Determined by the annual student intake
-- Experience and minimum qualification for teaching faculty, Director, Principal, Head of Institute, Heads of Departments as per Regulations 2014
-- Full-Time teaching Faculty except for subjects like Mathematics, Statistics, Basic Electronics, Computer Applications, Pharmaceutical Business Management, Engineering Drawing and Pathology etc.

-- Post-graduate pharmacy teachers
