SYNOPSIS / SUMMARY / PREFACE

 SYNOPSIS:

The Nuance is a verse of 3400 rhetorical questions in 1700 heroic couplets. The verse develops the theory of biological immortality of the human beings through its 17 no. of Cantos titled Life and Death, Human Difference, Subjection, Life and Soul, Confusion, Imperfection, Liberation, Body and Spirit, Extinction, Stagnation, Continuum, Obstruction, The Human System, Introspection, Dream Civilization, Transformation, and Re-creation. Each Canto begins with two epigraphs and a synopsis which speak of the context and introduce the reader to the section.

The verse is themed upon the logic of human immortality and states that human life is meaningless as it is indefinite and dies inevitably. When life is meaningless for human beings, the universe is also meaningless, for the universe without human beings is beyond recognition. Both life and the universe will have meaning only when human beings become immortal. Reasonably, the human life is evolving toward immortality which is the purpose of the creation of the universe. The verse has been incorporated with the triadic feature of fact, fiction and fantasy as it develops the theme.

The verse describes the universe as a deathless living entity and blends the mortal biological life of the earth with the immortal cosmic life of the universe, as it develops the logic of immortality. It protagonizes the human brain and theorizes that some day the brain will make immortality possible by manipulating physical, chemical and biological mechanisms between matter and energy, enabling sapiens to escape from the ecological cycle of birth and death. It puts forward the recent scientific and technological advancements, along with the evolutionary logic, in its resolute proposition of immortality.

Through its approach toward immortality, the verse deals with the subjects like religion, god, soul, spirit, prebirth, rebirth and other concepts and discusses how these concepts have arrested the human mind and rendered human beings truly uncreative and kept them resigned to their artificial mortal livings, within the limit of birth and death. The verse is critical of divided human beings and their mutually antagonizing cultural and customary practices and urges for a complete change in the existing economic, social, political and other living systems which encourage competitions, conflicts, struggles..., thus promoting the mortal life.

While preaching one humanity, one faith, one religion with science and scientific practices at core, the verse concludes that human beings will find the secret of immortality once science gets them the secret of origins of life, and the voyage of science which is deep into the research will arrive at the secret some day only if the voyage is not disturbed by the storms of bigotry, vices, violence, wars, crimes, etc., adding that if we transform selfishness into selflessness at the individual level, the transformation of mortality into immortality and ephemeron into eternity will be inevitable. For this, human brain must be free from the clutches of the regressive mind that inhabits nescience and uneducation. The brain as the engine of humanity must be fuelled by the progressive mind to enable the engine to ferry human beings safe across the fatal sea.

Core message of the book:
We never owe death our life; it is only our stupid submission. Acceptance of death is our pessimistic retreat from life. In the deepest region of Nature is planted the secret seed of immortality. The real task of human beings is to discover that seed and tend it to grow to liberate themselves from the clutches of the soil that breeds and kills them... Human life is the supreme form of science and not limited to the mundaneness what we observe and experience but a continuous evolution toward its extraterrestrial existence and eternal permanence. Human beings with their almighty brain have got ability to evolve fast and transform themselves into an immortal biology.

Core wisdom of the book:
We are mortal because we live on the mortal, the transforming energy. Our immortality will be possible if we get energy directly from the universe, independent of plants, animals and birds... The universe is an energy manifestation and the whole energy of the universe is her indestructible spirit. Life which is a transformation of this spirit through the body can be conserved indestructibly by a scientific synergy between the body and the spirit.

The title:
'The Nuance' connotes the meaning that there is a subtle scientific fact hidden in the mortal existence of life, which holds the secret of immortality. The 'title' is inspired by the human confusion between life is everything and life is nothing, paired with the author's thought of impossibility of the Earth with life within the universe without life and if it has at all been possible, then the universe must be a life form we cannot see. There is a subtle line between the visibility and the invisibility and human immortality is next to the discovery of that line.
